Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team and ensure optimal performance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE). The role involves troubleshooting conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, labeling systems, scales, and HMIs, using Rockwell software and Ethernet/field networks.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs, with strong electrical knowledge and a collaborative approach to projects and

Qualifications

• Experience programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs and VFDs.
• Experience with SCADA, KPIs, and reading electrical diagrams.
• Ability to support conveyors and sortation systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
• Troubleshoot and modify software projects for material handling control systems (PLC/PC controllers).
• Escalate downtime and coordinate with vendors or network teams to restore operation.
• Apply expertise to maximize building utilization and system reliability.
• Coordinate with Operations leadership, vendors, and parts suppliers for new technology installations.
• Communicate timelines and impacts clearly to leadership and maintenance teams.
