Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support site maintenance for efficient MHE control systems. You will troubleshoot, program, and optimize PLC/PC controllers, hydraulic and electrical distributions, and HMI/SCADA interfaces in a modern facility.

Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and vendors to ensure reliable equipment performance, safety, and project execution, while leading continuous improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• 3+ years programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs.
• Ability to interpret and modify electrical drawings.
• Experience with conveyors and sortation systems.
• Knowledge of relays, motor starters, VFDs, HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Provide guidance on maintaining material handling control systems and motor control.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Rockwell).
• Escalate downtime issues to vendors/network support as needed.
• Collaborate with operations leadership on capital projects and new tech installs.
• Communicate timelines and impacts to leadership and maintenance teams.
