C&W Services in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team, ensuring reliable operation of material handling equipment. You will work with conveyors, sortation, sensors, and control systems using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs programming experience.
• Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Experience with conveyors and sortation systems.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following procedures.
• Guide maintenance on material handling control systems and power/distribution.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for PLC/PC controllers (Rockwell).
• Escalate downtime to vendors or network support as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to improve systems.
