Job summary
C&W Services is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team, optimizing material handling equipment control systems and ensuring reliable operation of conveyors, sortation, scanners, and related automation. You will partner with maintenance to troubleshoot, implement improvements, and lead or assist technicians through knowledge continuity in a climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities include guiding safe operations, supporting electrical distribution, and applying
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
- SCADA systems and KPIs experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Promote safety and follow procedures.
- Support maintenance and troubleshoot MHE control systems.
- Modify software projects for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Rockwell).
- Serve as first escalation for equipment automation issues and coordinate with vendors for downtime.
- Work with operations leadership, vendors, and parts suppliers on new technology installations.
- Communicate project timelines and impacts to leadership and operations.
