Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team and ensure reliable operation of material handling equipment. You will troubleshoot conveyors, sortation, scanners, and HMIs, while implementing solutions for complex problems in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities include promoting safety, maintaining control systems, and collaborating with operations and vendors to install new technology.
Qualifications
- 3+ years programming/commissioning HMIs/PLCs/VFDs
- Experience with SCADA and KPIs
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
- Experience with conveyors and sortation systems
Responsibilities
- Promote safety and follow procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems
- Support and modify PLC/PC control software
- Escalate downtime issues to vendors/teams
- Collaborate with operations to plan new tech installs
- Communicate timelines and impacts to leadership
