Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to support and optimize automated material handling equipment, including conveyors and sortation systems. You will troubleshoot PLC/robotics, monitor networks, and coordinate with site teams to drive reliability and performance.

You’ll join a safety‑conscious environment with opportunities for growth and advancement after six months. Some weekend or night work may be required depending on operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
Experience in PLC programming and design cycles with component selection.
2+ years with PLCs, robotics components, and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC).
Escalate and repair MHE controls software on-site or remotely as needed.
Inspect systems to ensure operation meets design and client specs.
Oversee contractors and manage development scopes and inspections.
Communicate timelines and project impacts to stakeholders.
