Amcor Limited in Evansville, IN seeks an Automation Engineer to be the technical SME for industrial equipment across multiple plants. You will lead equipment scope from concept through handoff, coordinate resources with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and drive safe, reliable solutions.

You will also support existing production equipment, lead RCCA and continuous improvement efforts, and provide hands-on troubleshooting and startup support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment throughout its lifecycle.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, layouts and electrical schematics.
• Experience with FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning and ramp-up.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety as the first priority in all engineering activities and decisions.
• Serve as technical SME for assigned manufacturing equipment scopes across projects.
• Develop equipment scopes, specifications, layouts, RFQs and acceptance criteria.
• Manage equipment work to scope, schedule, budget and technical requirements.
• Lead or participate in design reviews across mechanical, electrical, controls, robotics and vision.
• Coordinate interfaces between suppliers and equipment pieces to ensure integration.
