Job summary

Amcor seeks an Automation Engineer in Evansville, IN or remote within the Midwest/Eastern US. You will support capital projects from concept to completion, focusing on large-scale End of Line automation with scopes from $50,000 to $10MM across multiple plants.

The role requires hands-on controls and mechanical experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Occasional travel and collaboration with corporate and plant teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive with project management capability.
• Experience with end‑of‑line automation in Injection, Thermoforming and/or Blow molding.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work with teams to develop scope of work for system solutions.
• Lead project management from scope development to system delivery.
• Provide electrical/mechanical installation support during new project launches.
• Support ongoing improvement projects and training for staff.
