Job summary

Amcor, a global leader in responsible packaging, seeks an experienced Engineering and Reliability leader for our Evansville, Indiana facility. You will plan, organize, and direct the Engineering and Reliability Departments to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

You will set priorities, develop capital projects, mentor technical staff, and drive continuous improvement across plant systems while upholding Amcor's safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Previous supervisory work experience.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct teams.
• Ability to conceptualize, design, lead and manage improvement projects.
• Strong planning and budgeting skills for department activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities and direct the Engineering and Reliability Departments in daily activities.
• Develop capital investment strategies for safe, cost-effective operation.
• Plan, budget, and implement capital projects to improve safety and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance for upgrades, replacements, and new systems.
• Evaluate downtime and efficiency reports to identify improvements.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs and plan projects accordingly.
• Oversee hiring, training, and development of technical staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health requirements.
• Act as a technical leader and communicator to regional and corporate leadership.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Plant Director.
