Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Automation / Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Energy and Resources consulting team. You will contribute to multidisciplinary projects across North America, supporting mining, power, oil & gas, and energy transition initiatives.

You will lead and support design on projects, with opportunities to work in mining sectors and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, mining, oil & gas, power generation.
• Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed).

Responsibilities

• Engineering support for multidisciplinary projects from proposals through design phases and startup.
• Site work including investigations, scope validation, construction, commissioning and startup support.
• Lead the design and development of I&C construction drawings and instrument specifications.
