Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian doors on customer sites in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves servicing sliding, swinging, and rotating doors with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot electro‑mechanical systems, and work with aluminum frames, glazing, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring. A valid driver’s license and AAADM certification within 12 months are required or pursued

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot electro‑mechanical devices.
• AAADM certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment and maintained.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and 120V wiring is required; access control systems a plus.
• Experience with glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, break‑fix repairs, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro‑mechanical devices and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training.
