Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking an Installation Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian, sliding, and swinging doors. You will perform service and installation on-site, working with aluminum frames, glazing, and low-voltage wiring to ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in storefront/door installation or related industry.
• Must obtain AAADM certification within six months of employment and maintain it.
• Mechanical aptitude with repairing electro-mechanical devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation following manufacturers’ procedures.
• Document time, problems, shortages, and site conditions in reports.
• Work safely to prevent accidents and protect people and property.
• Wear and maintain PPE as required.
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repairs, and upgrades of automated doors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices and low-voltage wiring.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors.
• Participate in training programs and on-call rotations.
