Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade a range of automated pedestrian doors at customer sites. You will handle electro-mechanical diagnostics, wiring, and frame components, while delivering exceptional customer service and safety-conscious support.

The role offers on-site work with a company-provided vehicle, training towards AAADM certification, and a pathway from Service Technician to Senior Technician within a supportive, growth-focused

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring.
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21.
• Must obtain AAADM certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
• Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
• Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 110 lbs., climbing ladders, kneeling).
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
