Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Auto Body Technician responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience through precise assessment and high-quality repairs to return vehicles to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while collaborating with the team to meet KPIs and uphold the Brand Ambassador standard for The Boyd Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammers out dents and minor body damage; apply fillers when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
