Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States seeks an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts while upholding speed, quality and customer excellence. The role requires collaborating with a team and meeting repair KPIs in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using appropriate tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers when necessary to repair body damage.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass, windshields, and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; prep and repaint vehicles to specification.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
