Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair, restoring pre-accident condition. You’ll work with a team to uphold speed, quality, and customer excellence while serving as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, repairing with standard tools, aligning chassis, replacing parts, and ensuring all work meets quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Strong ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields and interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts and apply factory paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
