Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive in Smyrna, GA is seeking an Assistant Manager who will support the Store Manager in daily operations across service bays, front counter, and back office to deliver fast, friendly, and high-quality automotive service.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, schedule coverage, onboard new staff, greet customers, and supervise cash handling and POS transactions, all while upholding safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in retail/automotive leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Cash handling and basic math skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred ASE certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with POS and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations, stepping in during the manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors.
• Schedule team for peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional services.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Assist with opening/closing, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as directed.
• Ensure shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and safe.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and key performance metrics.
