Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, coach technicians, and uphold high standards of customer service. You will collaborate with the Store Manager to optimize performance, schedules, and store procedures in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

• Outstanding leadership and store management skills.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to mentor others in a manner that ensures efficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives
• Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS Compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the service department and assist Store Manager in daily operations.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel; plan and schedule duties; assign and follow up on work.
• Coach team on operations, ISI systems, and service standards.
• Interact with customers on sales, service, and opportunities; handle adjustments.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service staff.
• Manage parts inventory and outside purchases; maintain in-house stock.
• Ensure store safety and equipment layout; enforce safety procedures.
• Oversee wheel torqueing process and proper inspections.
