Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, coach technicians, and uphold our standards of customer service and safety.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will recruit, schedule, evaluate performance, manage parts inventory, and ensure compliance with OSHA and shop procedures. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.
• Outstanding leadership and store management skills.
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS Compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in recruiting by assisting the Store Manager on final employment decisions.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel; plan, schedule, assign work, and follow up on completion.
• Coach service department teammates on operational issues and ISI system procedures.
• Work directly with customers in sales, service opportunities, adjustments, etc.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service department staff.
• Manage parts inventory and outside purchases; ensure compliance with Tire Purchase Program and restocking.
