Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager in Mobile, AL to lead day-to-day operations across service bay, front counter, and back office. You will support the Store Manager, coach technicians and advisors, and ensure fast, high-quality service while upholding safety standards.

You will greet customers, guide service recommendations, and help drive repeat business through outstanding service and efficient store management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in supervising daily operations and step in during the manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting company values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and upsell based on manufacturer guidelines.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as directed by the Store Manager.
• Ensure the shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety policies.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and KPIs to stay aligned with store goals.
