Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading daily operations across service bay, front counter, and back office. You will coach technicians and service advisors, manage scheduling, and onboard new teammates while upholding safety and quality standards.

This hands-on role requires strong communication, cash handling, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, weekends, and some holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional offerings per guidelines.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when needed.
• Monitor store operations, cash handling, and POS transactions.
