Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations across service bay, front counter, and back office. You will lead by example, coach technicians and service advisors, and help manage schedules while ensuring fast, friendly, high-quality service.

You will greet customers, explain services, and upsell where appropriate, while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant shop. This role offers growth toward store leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using POS and inventory systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations, stepping in to lead the location in the manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling team members for proper coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional services when appropriate.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly, escalating to the Store Manager as needed.
• Support store/shop operations including opening/closing, cash handling, POS, and inventory
• Ensure shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety rules.
