Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations across the service bay, counter, and back office. You will help supervise technicians and service advisors, ensure timely service, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer care, upselling per manufacturer guidelines, inventory oversight, and performance tracking. Strong communication and a valid driver's license are required; ASE is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations, stepping in for the manager when needed.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to cover peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS systems.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment and uphold brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and recommend additional services per guidelines.
• Help manage inventory and daily store metrics to hit goals.
