Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver fast, friendly automotive service. You will split time between the service bay, front counter, and back office, guiding a team to meet brand standards while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a desire to develop into store leadership. Weekend availability and ASE familiarity are a plus in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to cover peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS systems.
• Foster a positive, teamwork-driven work environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional offerings per guidelines.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate as needed.
• Help manage store cash handling, inventory, and daily sales metrics.
