Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations across the service bay, front counter, and back office. You will lead by example, coach technicians and service advisors, and help schedule and onboard new team members to maintain fast, friendly service.

You will greet customers, explain services, promote additional work, manage cash and inventory, ensure safety and cleanliness, and monitor daily KPIs to push quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations, including stepping in for the Store Manager in their absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling team members to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Help onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting company values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional services as appropriate.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure shop and customer areas are clean and presentable.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and KPIs to stay aligned with goals.
