Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Service Advisor to join our high-performing team. You will be the main contact for customers, guiding them through the service experience with clarity and care in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, documenting concerns, creating repair orders, and communicating with technicians. Must be willing to work Saturdays; strong customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous customer-facing sales experience is required (retail, outside sales, hospitality, etc.).
• Automotive Service Advisor experience is a big plus (dealership preferred).
• Xtime & CDK experience is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, confirm, and manage service appointments to ensure an efficient and seamless customer experience.
• Greet customers, perform vehicle walkarounds, and document concerns and service needs.
• Create detailed repair orders with clear cost and time estimates.
• Recommend maintenance and additional services based on vehicle condition and guidelines.
• Communicate with technicians and parts to prioritize work and ensure timely completion.
• Provide updates to customers on repair status, timelines, and changes to scope or cost.
• Deliver vehicles upon completion and review work performed with customers.
• Maintain knowledge of product and warranty to guide service recommendations.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive retention.
