Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Manager in training to help supervise store operations and drive sales. You will work with district and store management on recruiting, hiring, and performance reviews, while training new team members and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Responsibilities

• Supervise store and team member operations, professional and retail, with responsibility to sales and merchandising.
• Collaborate with district and store managers on recruiting, hiring, evaluating, promoting and disciplining staff.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations, including pay increases.
• Assist in interviewing and candidate evaluation, coordinating scheduling and interviewing.
• Support safety training and compliance; ensure staff training across areas.
• Make sales calls and potentially schedule weekly customer calls.
• Assist in store operations and manage delivery fleet records; ensure tidy store environment.
• Review KPI dashboards, monthly P&L with store manager, and identify opportunities.
