Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager in Training to support store operations, sales, and team development. You will work with the store and district teams to recruit, train, and evaluate staff while ensuring safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities include supervising the team, coordinating interviews, training new hires, managing safety, and assisting in store KPI and P&L reviews. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and growth opportunities are strong.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members
• Assist in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations
• Assist in hiring by coordinating interviews and candidate evaluations
• Support store manager and ensure safety compliance and training across areas
• Make sales calls and sometimes weekly customer calls
• Oversee store operations and maintenance of delivery fleet and records
• Monitor gross profit components and review KPI dashboard and P&L with store manager
