Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may assume shift management in the absence of supervisors.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will be valued. The position emphasizes leading the team, handling showroom service, processing orders, and ensuring accurate returns, refunds, and invoicing before product leaves the store.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to provide excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise service levels in the retail showroom and ensure program execution.
• Answer telephone according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct payment methods.
• Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before delivery.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules and proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures; secure money and building.
• All other duties as assigned.
