Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or two+ years in casualty claims.
• Two+ years of casualty claims experience.
• Licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims and directs vendors and experts in claim handling.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, carriers, and claimants.
• Manages litigation and identifies exposures, recommending solutions.
• Sets reserves and monitors indemnity/expense costs.
• Liaises with primary and excess carriers and reinsurers on relevant files.
• Alerts management to legal changes affecting the liability program.
• Updates field personnel on claim status as requested.
• Supervises outside vendors and experts involved in investigations.
• Ensures reserves reflect probable ultimate payout based on file developments.
