Ryder System, Inc. seeks an experienced Liability Claim Representative II to handle property damage and low-to-mid range bodily injury claims. You will investigate, adjust, and supervise independent vendors while coordinating with insurers and legal teams to protect exposures and ensure compliant reserves.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor's degree and/or two or more years of casualty claims experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, and directs independent adjusters, experts, and vendors.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurers, and claimants.
• Manages litigation to ensure claims are handled according to jurisdiction.
• Assists in identifying exposures and recommends solutions to the Claim Manager.
• Manages indemnity and expenses costs.
• Coordinates with primary, excess insurers, and reinsurers on applicable files.
• Alerts changes in laws impacting Ryder's liability program.
• Updates field personnel on claim status when requested.
• Supervises outside vendors and experts retained for investigations.
• Sets reserves to reflect probable ultimate payout.
