Job summary

Safelite Group, Inc. is seeking a Technician Trainee to learn the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom training.

You will observe and assist with glass installation and repair while preparing to achieve the Safelite-certified Technician status. Expect weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, rising to $24.00/hour after training and certification, with a benefits package over $10k including 401(k), medical plans, PTO, holidays and volunteer days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand, bend, and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostics.
• Provide additional services and products.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles and tools; comply with safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to standards.
