Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Auto Damage in Charlotte to begin with structured training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation. You will work with experienced professionals to handle auto, heavy equipment, and property damage claims, with multiple customer touchpoints via phone and written communications.

The program lasts 9-12 months, after which you will progress toward full claims handling responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims management.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems and procedures.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders, claimants, and witnesses.
• Obtain evidence and assess claims for potential fraud.
• Establish claim reserves and determine the resolution amount and payments.
• Develop and execute action plans for claim resolution.
• Keep parties informed about claim status and maintain records.
