Job summary

The Travelers Associate Claim Rep, Auto Damage program provides comprehensive training in claim handling, customer service and policy interpretation while working with seasoned professionals. The 9–12 month program aims to prepare you to independently handle personal, business, and heavy equipment damage claims with confidence.

You will engage with customers via phone and written communications, develop resolutions, assess coverage, set reserves and payments, and pursue required insurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or GED with one year of customer service experience.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn claims management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training covering policies, claims processes, systems and procedures.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders, claimants, and witnesses.
• Coordinate with resources to obtain evidence for proper claim handling.
• Assess claims for potential fraud and establish reserves and payments.
• Develop action plans for effective claim resolution and communicate status to all parties.
