Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Orlando is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Auto Express to join our training program. You will gain skills in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while working with experienced professionals to manage auto and property claims. The program lasts 8–12 months and positions you toward independent claims handling upon completion.

A Bachelor’s Degree and customer service/insurance exposure are preferred. Licenses may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; internship or work experience in customer service or insurance preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, specific claim processes, systems, and procedures, including virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders and claimants to verify the facts of loss.
• Assess coverage and bring claim to resolution with accurate payment in a timely manner.
• Communicate and apprise all parties regarding claim status.
• Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
• Adapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly in the areas of AI while maintaining productivity and service quality.
• Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) to comply with state and Travelers’ requirements within three months of starting the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
