Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Claims Representative in the United States to manage, evaluate, and process auto claims with efficiency and empathy. You will work with insureds to resolve claims promptly, while upholding professionalism and compliance across states.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years in insurance claims, with strong analytical, negotiation, and customer service skills. A solid understanding of policy language and claims management systems is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Three years of experience in insurance claims, preferably Auto claims.
  • Experience with claims management and software systems.
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles and terminology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality auto claim handling including contacts, coverage, investigation, evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution per company policies and state regulations.
  • Communicate with policyholders, claimants, providers, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
  • Determine claim eligibility, coverage, liability, and settlement amounts.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of claim files and transactions.
  • Identify and escalate potential fraud or complex claims for further investigation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as investigators, legal, and customer service as needed.
