Job summary

Travelers is hiring for an Auto Damage Claim Representative to support customers and third-party claimants through the claims process. You will manage auto damage claims from notice of loss to settlement, explaining policy terms and determining coverage while handling multi-vehicle scenarios, with a focus on accuracy and timely resolution.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2 years of auto claim experience, an active adjuster license if applicable, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage auto physical damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution and settlement, handling low to moderate complexity cases.
• Evaluate and analyze policy terms, conditions, and exclusions to determine coverage, liability, and damage; negotiate equitable settlements within your authority.
• Coordinate and partner with appraisal team(s) and repair facilities to obtain necessary information and ensure thorough accurate damage assessments and timely claim resolution.
• Leverage all internal and external resources to conduct thorough investigations to gather all relevant facts accurately document findings in the claim management system and maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
• Determine settlement amounts based upon appraisal estimate, negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits to insureds and claimants.
• Provide timely and professional communication to customers, representatives, and internal stakeholders.
• Adapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly in the areas of AI while maintaining productivity and service quality.
• Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) to comply with state and Travelers' requirements within three months of starting the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
