Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Brookhaven, GA seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise repairs, restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and help meet KPIs as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

Requirements include a high school diploma or technical training/apprenticeship, strong repair methods knowledge, and proficiency with standard shop tools. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections of vehicles and replaces with parts; repairs glass and windshields.
• Welds and attaches or fits parts and prepares/repaints vehicles per specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
