Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass seeks an Auto Body Technician to accurately assess and repair vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while adhering to KPIs and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair. Safety and accuracy are essential in this fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Weld and fit parts; replace glass and interior parts as needed.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specifications.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
