Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to repair and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign frames, replace parts, and repaint to factory standards while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or apprenticeship. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with others in a busy shop are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
