Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver high-quality repairs and an outstanding customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while maintaining speed, quality, and safety in a busy shop environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or apprenticeship. You will work with other technicians, read repair orders, and help ensure parts are installed correctly and repairs are painted to spec.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Understanding of repair methods and use of shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using listed tools and techniques.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and fix glass.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
