Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence in collaboration with the team.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training, proficiency with shop tools, and the ability to work with others in a busy collision repair environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interiors as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prep and repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
