Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Oklahoma is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You’ll disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars while contributing to speed, quality, and customer excellence.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, apply factory-specified paint, replace damaged parts, and ensure safety in a busy shop environment. A high school diploma or equivalent and technical training are preferred; apprenticeship paths are acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Experience with auto body repair and listed tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replaces damaged sections of vehicles with new or aftermarket parts.
• Welds and attaches or fits parts into place and preps and repaints vehicles to factory specs.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
