Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver high quality repairs and a superb customer experience. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while aligning with our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair. The role requires safe work practices, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and thorough knowledge of body repair methods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completed or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass as needed.
• Weld and attach parts, and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
