Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with meticulous repairs and a focus on speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will work with a team to disassemble, repair, reassemble, and refinish vehicles while upholding our brand promise and KPIs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and/or a technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods for vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass, interior parts as needed.
• Weld, fit, and paint vehicles with factory-specified or equivalent finishes.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
