Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure repairs meet quality and speed KPIs while representing the brand as a dedicated team member.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plan the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples and other minor body damage; apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts and refinish with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure quality of repair.
