Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver top-tier customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, collaborating with teammates to uphold speed, quality, and customer excellence across repair KPIs.

High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship may be accepted.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare customer estimates.
• Repair sections of a vehicle using cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins where needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields and interior components.
• Weld and paint vehicles to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect final work.
