Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through careful assessment and high‑quality repair, restoring vehicles to pre‑accident condition. You will disassemble, repair and reassemble cars while upholding speed, quality and customer excellence.

Plan repairs, prepare estimates, replace parts and glass, weld and repaint as needed, and inspect work to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates; uses tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed; realigns chassis and frames.
• Replaces damaged sections with parts; replaces or repairs glass and windshields.
• Welds and attaches parts; prepares and repaints vehicles to spec.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
