Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles after collisions, restoring them to pre-accident condition with speed and quality.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars using cutting tools, realign frames, replace parts and glass, and ensure work orders meet labor guidelines while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school or 3-year apprenticeship.
• State of Michigan mechanics license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles with precision.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect final result.
