Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician in Michigan. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, weld and refit parts, replace glass and interiors, and repaint to factory specs. The role emphasizes speed, quality, and customer excellence within a busy shop environment.

You’ll plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, and work with other technicians to meet KPIs. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or apprenticeship, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong repair skills and familiarity with auto body shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute repair work with cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Repair dents, realign frames, and replace parts as needed.
• Replace or repair glass, interiors, and paint to specs.
• Weld and fit parts; ensure quality finishes.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
